According to Abimaq Foreign Trade Executive Director and BMS Program Manager, Klaus Curt Müller, Colombia was the 10th market of machinery and equipment for Brazil, with exports around US $ 253 million recorded in 2015. The three main segments exported to the Colombian market are: machines and heavy equipment, road machinery and agricultural machinery. Together, the three sectors accounted for $ 119 million in Brazilian exports to that country last year. “From January to July this year, Brazil already exported US $ 116 million to Colombia, and these three sectors accounted for US $ 50.3 million in Brazilian exports to that country until July,” says the director.
